HYANNIS – An exhibition of works by Judaic artist Lori Loebelsohn was on display to the public from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Chabad Jewish Center, 745 W. Main Street.
Attendees had the opportunity to meet the artist and to view and purchase her work. At 11:30 a.m., Loebelsohn lead a dialogue about her art and explain the meaning of some of her paintings.
Although anchored by ancient Jewish symbols, her artwork merges decorative concepts of local contemporary culture with the age-old imagery found in traditional Judaic art.
Loebelsohn’s works have been published by Harper Collins, Cambridge University Press, Providence Publishing and Eakins Press.
